Anime USA is an anime-convention in Virginia and Washington D.C. that deal with Japanese and otaku culture This convention is not like Otakon because a bit different from it. I know this is not a gaming post but this convention does have a gaming such as retro and present consoles, arcade machines, tabletop and card games. If a panel I want to good to is not ready I got there and do some gaming and kill some time. What will be an anime convention without cosplay, cosplay is dressing up as your favorite anime, gaming, movie, comic and TV characters. You will be amazed how people but time and effort into making them you got to have materials and money. Speaking of money, there are dealer room which sells anime merchandise, video games, artwork and etc.


Video Game Room

If you are hungry you can go to the maid café and host club they make food that apart of Japanese culture. There is an AMV contest which showcase anime music videos and the audience get to vote on which AMV is the best. You can watch anime series and movies, performances, workshops and panels (you talk about whatever anime and whatever your preference) and also which features special guest such as Troy Baker, Steve Blum, Laura Bailey, Christopher Sabat, Johnny Yong Bosch, Erin Fitzgerald and etc. You will have a time of your life and feel right at home. There is a skit at a masquerade that all fandom are welcome such as comics, gamers, bronies, science fiction, otaku and etc. It’s true this convention is like a utopia for nerds to get out of the outside world.
