As the arcade flyer says two of the best fighting games come together again but they’ve put companies instead of games. Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 is a 2D crossover fighting game featuring Capcom and SNK characters, this game was developed by Capcom and published by Sega. This is not the only Capcom crossover, there is Marvel and Tatsunoko those franchise I might do a review of them in the future. This is a sequel to Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 ·but more characters and mechanics. The game features characters from Street Fighter, Samurai Showdown, Art of Fighting, The King of Fighters and many more

There are six button layout just like Street Fighter games, so you already know the light punch through heavy kick. The gameplay borrow elements from Capcom and SNK such as guarding, rolling, powering up your meter, rage meter which there is a fighting system for those called Groove Engine (each of them represent a different mechanics from a game). For example C-groove is Street Fighter Alpha, K-Groove is Samurai Showdown and N-Groove is The King of fighters, see what fits your preference for combat. There is a Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO is which stands for “Easy Operation” I think Guile says that in his win pose.

You can perform special moves and supers with the right analog sticks. The game mode are arcade mode (you fight all the way until you reach the final boss), versus (you go head to head with the CPU or with a friend) you choose 1-on-1, 3-on-3 and Ratio (which depends on the strength of the characters), training (for beginners), online (for Xbox Live only), change your character colors, Survival (you have to stay alive to win) , watch (you can watch the computers fight) and option mode (to change setting to your liking). If you are a Capcom, SNK or fighting game fan, this is the game for you. Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 is available on Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube.
