Final Fantasy VII is a RPG game developed and published by Square Enix. This game considered one of the one of the greatest games of all time and my favorite childhood games of all time. The game’s plot is about a mercenary named Cloud Strife who joins the eco-terrorist rebel organization AVALANCHE to stop the world-controlling megacorporation Shinra from draining the life of the planet to use as an energy source. Cloud and his allies become involved in a larger world-threatening conflict and face off against Sephiroth. Creator Hironobu Sakaguchi originally planned for the story to take place in New York in the year 1999, and as such, the original script of Final Fantasy VII, which was written by Sakaguchi, was completely different from the finished product and Tetsuya Nomura recalled how Sakaguchi wanted to do something like a detective story and the first part of the story would involve a hot blooded character named Detective Joe who is being pursuit of the of the main characters after blowing up city of Midgar (that’s was the scene of the game based on).

The gameplay of this game, you explore through Overworld maps, towns and especially have random encounters with enemies. You have a 3 characters of your party on the screen but the enemy has more. You have the option of attack, magic, summon (later on in the game) and use items (which can be purchase in shops along with weapons, Materia, equipment and more). Speaking of Materia (which are magical orbs composed of life energy) there are different types of Materia such as Yellow (grant new abilities), Green (offense and defense spells), Purple (boosts status), Blue (enhances other Materia). Each character got a special attack called “Limit Break” which you damage and you meter flash with rainbow colors and unleash a stronger attack. The graphics of this game are 3D models and environments with FMV cutscenes. You explore in the Overworld the characters are super deformed and while in battle there are normal scaled. The soundtrack is done by no other than Nobuo Uematsu with vocal such as One-Winged Angel and I am just loving the victory theme and Aerith theme. FFVII has one of the best soundtrack in Square Enix. Fun Fact: You can chocobos in this game and also buggy, submarine, airship and more. If you are a Final Fantasy fan this is a must buy game. Final Fantasy VII is available PlayStation, PlayStation 4, Android, Steam, IOS, and PlayStation 3
